On the north end of Brentwood, towards the canyons and Santa Monica Mountains, the area consists largely of single-family Spanish homes, but there are also quite a few unbelievable mansions and luxurious properties. If you head towards the south end of Brentwood, below Sunset and near Ocean Park, there is a mixture of mid- to high-rise apartments and quintessentially American single-family homes. Most of the areas in and around Brentwood are not too noisy, which makes it great for raising a family and having a peaceful place to settle down. Even though you can find an affordable place to live near Westwood along Wilshire, the average price of a property in Brentwood is still significantly higher than the rest of Los Angeles.
